The Memorial
The Australian Truck Drivers Memorial is situated in a unique parkland setting on the side of the Hume Highway in Tarcutta.
The memorial brick wall swirls around the highway white line path reflecting the many miles every driver travelled.
The memorial plaques which line this unique wall, host the names of the hundreds of drivers killed on our roads whilst performing their line of duty.
Family and friends of those remembered here, often visit and find comfort, knowing that their loved one is united with the many other “mates” of the transport industry.
Mission Statement
“To provide a lasting memorial for those truck drivers who have lost their lives whilst driving or working, and to provide an annual Memorial Service”.
The Australian Truck Drivers’ Memorial committee strongly supports the Memorial wall as a place for families, friends and the general public to pay their respects to the Truck Drivers who have lost their lives either on the roads, at work or through illness or natural causes.
